Come on!!!
Imagine a Wigan/Saints derby with that many penalties in, we'd be lucky if the score board for any team got in double figures!!
Because any ref that has to give out a total of 28 penalties in the game isn't refereeing it correctly by definition. It is too simplistic to say if the players don't do it they won't get penalised. The ref needs to control the game to get the players to behave.loyal wrote:Your all gonna get on my back for this but I don't see why it was Ganson's fault.
Can't have done. If he had authority the penalties would have stopped. Last week Silverwood sin binned TL pretty quick in the game and we stopped messing about. When Bradford started the same he sin binned one of their players. So we ended up with fewer penalties in the game as the players knew what to expect if they carried on. 28 penalties says the ref has not imposed his authority at all.I hate ganson like anyone else in superleague, but he was stamping down his authority as a referee with giving penalties (which were penalties).
I am sure Wigan and Wire gave penalties away that were penalties and it needs to stop but if they keep doing it for same thing such as lying on over and over the ref needs to sort it out quick and within the early part of the game.Wigan really need to improve their discipline if we want to progress in superleague. We could have easily won that game if we didnt give away rubbish penalties for holding down, offsides. You don't even see them in Under 13s rugby.
