Iv'e got back and seen the video, early on when the offsides were given the referee called lockers to him, and said "offside again Shaun, go back and sort it" O'Loughlin trundled back into the line and said sweet nothing to anyone, five minutes later we get sin binned, and the most destructive part of the match followed, do you think Farrell would have stood for that? No he wouldn't, I'm not usually a Lockers knocker, but I'm losing pacience(sp) with what I am being served up!
THAT IS NOT CAPTAINCY! :(

How can anyone blame one player when they were are crap.Lockers had a bad game but so did Barrett, who,s not played well all season but nobody's slagging him off.Im glad lockers has signed for 4 more years.I will agree that he is not the captain i would choose but that is up to noble & IL.For anyone to say he is KACK IMO they are talking KACK..He did not have his best game no but as CP said their were a lot of others players worse than him.He pulled us out the wire last week at Huddersfield with his KACK rugby skills.

I don't usually join in this debate, but after today I feel like putting my 2 bobs worth in.

Lockers is usually pretty consistent. Whilst not the best loose forward in SL - he isn't the worst either. He does his fair share in defence and has been pretty injury free for us over the last couple of seasons. That said I was not exactly overjoyed with him being given a 4 year contract; I would have preferred a maximum of 2.

One thing he is not however, is a leader. We need a player that can inspire the other players and lead them when things get tough. He doesn't do this. If he can't do this and has very little to do with the set moves, attacking strategy (not that we seemed to have one today) which would be down to TL and TB - then what is the point of having him as captain? We would be better off having someone like Bailey or Barrett.

Your opinion again i do feel that the Captain's role is holding him back, although he has captained every team that he has played in since being a junior .WHO ELSE WOULD YOU PICK AS CAPTAIN???????????? .As a player he gives his all every match and wants to play for Wigan .Not critising you but you only watch Lockers on the TV through your incapacity and not every game he plays in .He had a hand in todays try and the winning trys last week.

RANT TIME.

watched the replay, offside four times in a row.

"lockers, sort your team out, alright?!" says the ref

so he strolls back to the line, doing..... nothing. i hate to just knock o'loughlin for todays diar display but he is a pathetic excuse for a captain. we need a loud captain! a vocal captain! id have said hock but the brains aren't there. barrett im sure can be vocal but he just doesn't seem up to it at the mo. new captain needed, yes.

alot of these first teamers aren't pulling their weight, they must think they're starting place is set in stone. well mr noble, its time for a change. if you don't peform, see how they get on in the reserves for petes sake. play some young lads for a change! they cant do much worse than what the 'first team' did today.

i feel like marching down to the ticket office tomorrow and saying right, money back please. losing i can handle, but i hate losing like we did today, and it happens to many times for my liking. no passion, no pride, no fire, no pace, no power. at one point i was ready to start the 'your not fit to wear the shirt chant' off, but i didn't. someone needs to wake these lads up, they're not here for a 3 year vacation from OZ or an easy ride from over penines (fielden cough cough), they're here to play rugby, and if they cant be arsed to, move aside and let someone else have a go!

quite frankly i do not give a damn, anyone in the 17 who is going to rile the lads up, tell me, tackling ability aside and the fact he set two tries up at hudds, what quality does o'loughlin bring as a captain!?

O'Loughlin basically ignored Richard Silverwood's warning to "sort it out".

Cr*p Captain.

Mr Fielden to be made captain sometime, I wonder. He couldn't be a quieter captain than O'Loughlin surely.

Remember when Fielden was in Chris Ashton's face at a Salford game once, then I would say Fielden acted like a captain.

That is what we need to see more of for Fielden to become captain.
