Well, even if they started now, it would take a few years to build .luke_robinsons_ angel wrote:He still makes me laugh from the time he got locked out of the willows and had to scale a wall to climb in!cpwigan wrote:Do not know about anybody else but I do not care for the Saints Chairmnan. If Saints are so sure they will get their new stadium then why did they let GPW Recruitment sign a sponsorship deal on Knowsley Road till 2012? Something doesn't add up!
he is the spit of that dodgy copper from Emmerdale, when the sombrero pics of him and IL where doing the rounds i originally thought it was an Emmerdale works outing :badg:cpwigan wrote:Do not know about anybody else but I do not care for the Saints Chairmnan. So what you are saying is while they may make a profit in cash terms (for the sake of discussion lets say £100K) but then post a loss because they say the stadium has depreciated in value by, say, £200K? So they make a paper loss of £100K but are not actually running out of money?cyberpieman wrote:If you post a loss, you don't pay tax (at least that's how I understand it).how can a proffesional management team make a loss 10 years running?
I suspect this may be a "paper loss" as opposed to a genuine "money falling out of the door" loss. It's going to be all wrapped up with paying players via off-shore banks, the huge depreciation on the stadium (which let's face it, is a dump of the highest order), as well as their zero marketing ability surrounded by two relatively famous wendy-ball teams.
It's simply more evidence of how they've managed to avoid getting stung by salary-cap infringements whilst our bean-counters are still using abacuses and double-entry paper.
Not really. Their attendances have always been around the 9-10k mark. They're dropping slightly (when everyone else's are going up) but nothing like as badly as ours did.Lazy J wrote:Doesnt this sound familiar?
Era of great success, attendances start to slide as fans get complacent and start to pic and choose matches.
