Just don't read the "spoilers" or the "goofs". Might spoil your enjoyment of the movie.

I thought all the rave reviews were just hype because of Ledger dying....but it's not just hype, the guy was amazing and acted the rest of them off the screen I thought. Would recommend it to anyone.

Whats an IMax and where is it?
IMax is a great concept. The screens are absolutely huge, something like the size of several double-decker buses. "A standard IMAX screen is 22 metres (72 ft) wide and 16.1 metres (53 ft) high, but can be larger" according to Wikipedia. There's one at the Odeon in Manchester, which is in the Printworks complex close to Victoria station. I've never had to book in the past although if it's a popular movie you might want to. I'm not convinced by the 3D stuff, but that's just because my eyes don't really work with that kind of thing although you can't watch a 3D movie without the glasses! But I'd definitely recommend seeing films in IMax if they're available, even if they do cost more money. Just one thing to watch though - because it's a different format to a normal film, there are no adverts or trailers before the feature, so if you're one of those people who always turns up 10 minutes late thinking the film won't have started because of all the adverts then you'll have missed the start. The feature starts on time, not half an hour after the time as at a normal movie...
IMDB = Internet Movie Database. The ratings thing is really an add-on, but it's an essential site if you see someone on tv or in a film and want to know what else they've been in...
