By order of our esteemed coach. Why do people clap him like lemmings pre match. The guy is clueless.
1 yard forward, stop. Leeds started running across field creating mayhem all because our defensive system defies logic. We turn bad RL into great RL when we are defending.
Time for him to go not just me saying it but staunch Noble supporters are now questioning his game plans.

A disappointing night
Simply; we had to do too much defending; second half we looked tired and desperate for full time.
It was a hard match for Barrett to come back into the side and he did what he could - however our forwards never really competed with the Leeds pack and I do think that he lacked a bit of match fitness.
I thought that Prescott and Coley were almost anonymous. In my opinion it is a mistake to start with Feka; he plays so much better 20 minutes in - when he has as much petrol left as everyone else! Leeds rightly targeted him from the kick off and he had to do too much "defending" to be effective when he did get the ball.
With our limited go forward; we were never going to be able to beat Leeds in a points-fest; they got away with some blatantly forward passes; the one before the Peacock break being a prime example. By the klein opened his eyes we were too far behind - I don't think that it would have changed the result; but it might have affected the marghin.
As soon as Leeds made it 18-10; it was obvious we would struggle to get back in the game. When Barrett and Mossop made a hash of the 2nd half kick off - I knew we were in for a long night. We then had a period of about 10 minutes where we were unable to tackle and leeds breezed over.
No matter what happens in our final game against the dole claiming, shell suit wearing, white lightening drinking, thieving scouse scum we will finish the season on a negative points difference and that is one thing which needs to be rectified next year. My only hope is that we beat them and Leeds trounce wakefield - denying them the league leaders hubcap - sorry, shield

I watched a St Pats junior team at half time use a better defensive system than Noble implements.
Saints could be just as bad next week.

They will be - but it won't be against us! They will be running up a cricket score against Hull at Wembley
We can look forward to the same treatment the week after.
What's Noble's record against them - something like 1 from 13?

Forgot about that.
Yes I think they will enjoy giving it to us and post Wembley will make little difference.

our pack is no where near strong enough , it was men against boys . If the pack does not go forward there is no room for the backs to work.
to say i was dissapointed tonight is putting it mildly that was a record home defeat
wonder what Mr Noble will be saying now

The problem is OAM you can have 6 monsters but if you hit the ball up 1 out with no support tackle after tackle any half decent team is going to have a field day. 1 v 13 is the stuff of schoolboy RL not professionals.
If you play smart you can actually get away with a lightweight pack.

I have to say that I see no evidence of anything remotely resembling 'smart play'in our recent performances. Workmanlike at best. I have not wanted to join in the Nobby's head hunting brigade because I feel we have changed coaches far too often in the past but it seems to me that either the players have no respect for him or that he is incapable of motivating them to perform even the most basic plays. Barrett can say what he likes about Nobby but he's going home and out of the frame,if I was him I think I would be inclined to resign after tonight's debacle.

We needed the ball to do that - and we didn't have it. Leeds targeted Feka from the off and although he didn't do as badly as he has previously in defence; by the time he go the ball he was already starting to fatigue

The decision to move Tommy to hooker compounded the problems. Trent at 13 would have had a similar effect.
Agree; Barrett was running the show; but with both TL and Smith on the pitch it was a case of neither really knowing what they were supposed to be doing. TL passed the ball on far to often; would have liked to see him attack the line like he has being doing recently
cpwigan wrote:
Colbon on the wing was a bad decision. We have a young winger who kicks goals, the fastest in the club, especially over short distance. He may have caught Smith on the intercept and certainly would not have been done by grubber kicks. He also scoots very well. Nicky Stanton.
And it has been all season. Colbon was outpaced by everybody Leeds played on the wing.
I have never seen Stanton play - but would like to see him given a chance. Colbon does not offer enough of a threat in attack and when he is poor defensively (as he was tonight) it is puzzling why he is in the squad.

A young second rower came on and was startled by the headlights like a rabbit. How many games could he have been brought on in. Lee Mossop. Give such players match time and they get better like Joel Tomkins.
I think that Mossop looks like a prospect. There wasn't much he could do to change the course of the match. He needs more game time if he is to have any chance of making a name for himself though.
cpwigan wrote:
Phelps? Would you give him a 3 year contract on what you have seen so far. Tonight was exactly what happened in Aus when he played centre v big centres. HE might make a very good full back but how would we know?
This is the only place that I disagree with you CP. Fair enough; Phelps missed Senior a couple of times - however Leeds had so many options down their left hand side; there wasn't much he could do - I am pretty sure I could have gone in for a couple tonight.
Were it not the fact that he was taking Goulding's spot (who I suspect may be your favourite player) I think you would be a lot more positive about him. Tonight may not have been his best performance; however he has had more good than bad since he came over.
Our squad needs to have versatility and to be able to cope with injuries and that is something Phelps brings. He has pace and can play in multiple positions.

same old story one man up the middle inside ball utter crap no planned moves defence like jelly = another big loss, when is the blame going to land fair and square at the coaching staffs feet i cannot believe that a team cannot show some sort of tactical improvement over the course of two seasons,am getting to the point of e-mailing the club and asking them to give me reasons why (other than loving the club) why i should renew the four season tickets that i buy each year, and not pick which matches to go to.it makes me wonder who is waging the tail when we decide to get shut of a player like micky higham and bring in another aussie that could want to go home if gets homesick was gutted at the end tonight for MH,buts thats another point to debate,i am so dis heartened with everything that is going on.i hope lenagan reads this and comes out and gives us a plan of action as to who and whats is planned over the off season
