So you are saying "punish" Wigan again teaches the RFL a lesson in "how to do it" from Whelan?

Well, the RFL haven't come out of this with much credibility either, caving in again to SKY as they have about moving it to Sunday.

i watched it and i see they all put blame just on whelan and not themselves, could at least saved all the hassle and let the game be played on a thurs or a sun. sunday would have been better as lot of fans work on fri nights and could get a decent crowd.

Spot on Stevo's ranting like a mad dog that he is took all the flack away from sky as they are as big a VILLIAN as WHEELEN is BOTH equaly to blame.

All this could have been avoided if SKY had said ok to playing it on the sunday

not being the first one to be shot at for defending SKY but i have dealing with a company that supply some of the equipment for the sky broadcast for super league and although it would seem an easy thing to change the scheduling for the game there would be a problem with the companies that supply the outside broadcast equipment to enable the game to be aired to the general public.

There just simply isn't enough of this OB equipment to go round and the logistics of moving all the equipment around could have caused a problem.

Saying that i feel that they may have had enough time from friday shuffle things around i know that the screen company could have had the kit there for sunday instead of friday.

But the blame for me lies solely with MR I do what i want Whealan, the guy is a ruthless business man and it is as clear as the day is long that Whealan and Lenagan have issues.

But i am even more sure that whelan will just simply use the excuse of the recent bad weather and the pitch cutting up with RL being played on it would disrupt the chances of Latics beating Sunderland.

I just hope that sunderland still complain about the pitch but put 5 past latics, and take the smug smile off whealans face.

So Whelan is clearly the bad guy here, and he is also a bl99dy big hypocrite.
In the Mirror the other day he says he is one of Wigan Rugby biggest fans, Yeah rite, cos you always treat a team your fond of like he has ours.
If as pointed out Hull ground can accomadate both clubs playing on the same day, then we could have played fri and them footy lot Sat.
No he just does not want to pay out for staff to do it or have his precious turf ruined.
I used to feel it was good for the town to have two sports in the elite ranks bringing in revenue etc.
Now I hope the footy lot go to $h1te.
Whelan says he supports both teams but in one moment of shear arogance lost the respect of one section of the town.

We know that Wigan Warriors makes a huge contribution to the game of rugby league developing more youngsters than any other club It is a well known pub game to name all the ex Wigan rugby players playing in the league

Now I would like to ask this arogant man how many Wigan players are in his football team?
Who plays regular first team football that come through the ranks?
You will be lucky to name five english players never mind Wiganers. So point made there is little or anything of the town anymore in the football team. :( :( :(

How is it SKY's fault? Whelan said the Stadium is not available, not SKY. Even if we could have moved it and SKY could too, it was still Whelan who said we had to move. This is the most important game of this season so far, and WE have to move......

I am over it now, going on a coach, the first time since 1989 and i am going to have a great time. (always drove since then) Mr Whelan has in my opinion damaged relationships between the two teams forever. He is a very silly man. I know a lot of Wigan RL fans go the footy too, perhaps these people may think otherwise when purchasing their tickets,

Only names which spring to mind are Titus Bramble and One Size Fitz Hall, because they always raise a smile! Not sure if they are still there though!

Oh yes, and Valencia, who will undoubtedly be snapped by a real club in January!
