This is wrong, i posted the same thing a month back and had my posted dissected into 42 different bits by some one that knows for sure i was wrong due to the fact Higham can't do any wrong in this persons eyes.

personally i'm with you, Higham the same as Orr, started playing when he needed to find a new Job, simple as
Agreed.

And for those suggesting McLlorrum "on loan" to an unnamed club, this has about as much credibility to it as the "Feka forced to sign for Hull" rumour. You cannot make players leave when they A) Don't want to B) Have a contract C) No other club is willing to pay what the intended loanee is currently on. So forcing McLorrum to play for Widnes or Doncaster or whatever club for a season or two, just so the club can keep an inter-change hooker, will not happen.

Why would you have to force a player to go out on loan? Loads of players go on loan, at the end of the day it for their own benefit, they get good game time and improve their chances of first team action when they return.

Thats what other posters ARE advocating though! How many players actually return to regular first team rugby after "going on loan"??? More than 5 in the last 20 years?? I doubt it. So it essentially means "farming out" players not good enough for Wigan, but not wanted playing for our opponents (just in case they return to "haunt us").

This IMO is a poor excuse for even having a junior set-up. If you are unwilling to give them a chance, then fine. But to sign them just to prevent them playing for someone else is pathetic (even to the extent of loaning them out - how very generous of the Warriors). Which "appears" to be what some are saying re: McLorrum.

If McLorrum's unwilling (and has anyone actually asked him?) then the likelihood of him going anywhere on loan, is non-existent. :eusa17:

Face facts - Mickey Higham's gone.

Like thousands of ex-players before him (and many a great deal better too)

Now John Clark is out of the World Cup squad, do you think Tony Smith would take Micky instead?

Wigan have had talks with two other clubs about Higham and he may be going, but at this stage Higham does not want to go and the club have left him in the dark and not spoken to him about as to his future, no deal has been done with any club at this stage and that includes Warrington.

Why would Wigan have "talks" with anyone?

It is now nothing to do with the club. They have officially announced that they have no plans to retain him for Salary Cap purposes.

How have the club, as you say, "left him in the dark". It was made "pretty clear" that with the signing of Mark Riddell that Wigan saw him as first choice.

hes in sincelating form micky higham...

i personally dont want him to go, we needed a power hooker therefore riddell is coming over but need a decent reserve and dont think mclorrum is up to coming off then bench week in week out for us if we are going to be up there challenging at the end of the season just yet...

shame micky cant stay imo...
