The stadium should be renamed "BRIGANTES PARK"
"Historically a part of Lancashire, Wigan was in the territory of the Brigantes, an ancient Celtic tribe".
Other options
CENTRAL PARK ---- This would not get past the foreigners who play football--- Have they got any english players since Hesky left?
D.W PARK --- The Dave Whelan park -- We all know about this mans power and vanity this could fly.
RIVERSIDE STADIUM -- This is a possibility as it is a neutral name that states the proximity of the stadium to the river Douglas

whelans already named west stand jackie whelan stand .
also if we got 14 million for central park lafletic got 3mill does that not give us any rights ????? sorry doesnt make any sense to me

and if this is true i reckon as its a shared stadium the east stand should be renamed the BILLY BOSTON stand

Its just been confirmed on Sky News that it's to be 'The DW Stadium'

I thought DW said the Stadium was nowt to do with him and that its wasnt his descion to kick us out last year, blah blah blah blah bollocks!!!
