Academy lose opening match of the season

Played for Hull Reserves v Wigan Reserves mate. Scored for Hull.

The result was closer than I would have expected with so many lads being played out of their normal positions. Both of the Parkinsons have played mainly in the second row, although Danny played at centre more recently. Matty Crow, although having been taken on as a centre has spent most of his rugby playing in the front row and is dropped in at Loose forward while Dec McLoughlin is a centre asked to play at 6. Add to Liam Thomson being a Loose asked to play at 9 and you have all the recipe for a poor performance. Don't blame the lads. The fault lies elsewhere!

Amazed have they had much training together?

It is worrying what you say because with Burke, Bridge to still come in we seem to have lots of forwards and hardly any backs.
