Take your pick
Re: Take your pick
I agree OH. I may be wrong but wasn't Poore offered big contracts by several clubs recently with Cronulla seemingly getting him for 2010 although there was lots of publicity that his contract had to guaranteed by the League Club in case the Sharks go under.
Orford would be fantastic here in SL.

Re: Take your pick
I wish Medlocke. Sam T alongside him.
Re: Take your pick
Too old for Wigan CP, we have gone down the route of fats fix players at halfback since the demise of Edwards and it has not worked, in Sam we have a SO who should be at the club for at lest the next 10 years, we need to bring in somebody who is good enough that will be his partner for at least a good 5 or 6 years, we need consistency in the half backs and a stop gap player ain't going to provide thiscpwigan wrote:I wish Medlocke. Re: Take your pick
Possibly Medlocke. I just think 2 years with Orford alongside him would help Sam and the team would improve. Personally I want to see Myler and Tomkins as our 7 and 6. A curve ball and not likely to happen would be to sign Owen Farrell and play him at 6.
Re: Take your pick
The way i see it CP is, if we sign Orford for 2 seasons then we are back to where we started when he leaves except Sam will be a little more experienced, I say go for Myler and let them form a decent partnership, in the same 2 years we could see the bestest HB partnership in SL, deffo the way to go, if Myler then another youngish player, if not British then one from down under, as long as they will be together for a long time then that is the way for mecpwigan wrote:Possibly Medlocke. Re: Take your pick
Agreed. One big factor in Saints & Leeds success is their settled half-back pairings. Add McIlorum to the mix and that would 3 pivotal positions sorted for the next 10 years.medlocke wrote:The way i see it CP is, if we sign Orford for 2 seasons then we are back to where we started when he leaves except Sam will be a little more experienced, I say go for Myler and let them form a decent partnership, in the same 2 years we could see the bestest HB partnership in SL, deffo the way to go, if Myler then another youngish player, if not British then one from down under, as long as they will be together for a long time then that is the way for mecpwigan wrote:Possibly Medlocke. Mason would be a total liability.Wigan_forever19 85 wrote:http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... radar.html
Take your pick:
Willie mason and Wigan are also understood to be interested in signing Roosters forward Mark O'Meley, St George Illawarra prop Justin Poore and Manly scrum-half Matt Orford.
Now the sun are not known for their accuracy however they were the first to break the gleeson story
He has an attention disorder which is well know about through Aussie press. Lenehan, if you have any sense, leave him well alone. PLEASE.
He is not as tough as the Sun newspaper makes out, good evidence of this in the ARL plus Kidwell.
IMO O'Meley would be a more reliable proposition, pretty tough too.
Justin poor seems to have a busted hand at the moment, seems he will miss a month of games according to Dragons press. Dont know if this is his first injury.

Re: Take your pick
If we sign Mason, just change the names on all the posts about Riddell on here. He will eat up salary cap and live off the reputation he earned for a couple of good seasons early in his career. All he has done since then is deck Fielden.
I would love to see Myler here but Matt Orford can give us the one thing we are so obviously lacking. The ability to dominate teams through a strong kicking game.
