For me Mick he is far better as a orop. All his runs tonight were prop runs. Sometimes players can be too big for the backrow.

The one thing for sure, he is a quality player.

Fielden was better too, his defence was immence and saved the line a couple of times.
I think the Wire chant had a tremendous effect, not on Feka personally but on their own defenders who all rushed in to meet him when they heard this.
Our first try try came following his first drive when the defenders all rushed under their own posts to meet him and Pat scored out wide.
Two more came indirectly from offloads of Feka's when he had defenders swinging off him.
Yep, he effectively set Tommy's try up, too, drawing 4 defenders into the tackle.

Exactly and I for one would rather he played for 15-20 minutes and set up some tries especially with no Gaz Hock than having him play longer and doing very little.

I've knocked this guy week in and week out and well deserved on past performances. However, credit is duly paid to Feka on last night's performance. His offloads were truly breathtaking at times. And his carries were much better. All credit to him.I for one will be quite happy to get of his back if he brings out this kind of performance each week. :eusa2: :eusa2: :eusa2:

Maybe some are looking for the faults Yes he ran on a sideways diagonal but he took the route he would gain most metres and he dragged the defenders with him so when Carmont recieved the pass he had clear space. Had Feka run streight he would not have cleared the defenders. I think 5 were latched on when he did the offload. And twice he caught Anderson on a sprint, impressive,

After last weeeks debacle I opted to stay in 'arrogate last night and watched it on the box so I caught Phil Clarks remark about it being no use complaining about Fekas short pitch time as before he signed for Wigan (Maurice?) over 5 years in the NFL he averaged 26 mins/game over those five years so he is producing just what we paid for. Having said that I think that last night was one of his best games for a long long time and he must have been on the pitch for 35-40minutes all told. Perhaps he was embarrassed himself at the appalling performance he put in last week against t'wire.

I think Clarke has a valid point though. You sign a player like Feka to do what he does better than 99% of other props. Why even try to convert him into a normal prop when he is not suited to it and it would be easier just to have signed a normal prop in the first place.

Did you notice they came on at exactly they same time as they did last week? Bang on the 20 minute mark.

The question mark over Feka is can he keep this level of of performance up or can he only do it if he gets a rocket and may be facing the chop?

Feka is amongst the best props in the world of his type. He will never play more than 40mins per game if that, but when he is on he causes havoc. To get the best out of him we need to have 3 other props to do the donkey work.IMO we have poor props therefore Feka is not coming on to the field when we have tired other props out.I keep saying this but we need 2 top class props plus Mossop who will be an international prop in tha next 2 years and Feka.We will then get some go forward and release our backs who will win us some silverware
