Rumours on 606 and on a few other places suggesting Deacon is taking a coaching role at Wigan but will also provide cover for the half-backs.

Deacon is past it.. who was the MOM in the reserves final????? and you say we need half back cover when we have young kids like that!!!

Joe Mellor. A very promising player but I am unsure he and Sma T can form a halfback partnership. Both are natural leftys.

Deacon would be a good signing imo,he could certainly pass on a lot of experience/knowledge to Sam and dont forget when he plays,Paul Deacon has as good a kicking game as anyone in SL.

Was too slow seasons ago.
Joe Mellor as back up would be my choice, barring any DECENT half back signings.

CP, you tend to be on the bob, so I'll assume your correct.
If he's a bargain cover fair play - but I'd rather have a top notch prop.

Hard to work out why. Maybe Maguire want to play Tommy at hooker. Surely it cannot be just to have him as a junior coach. Good source said he had signed Rich so I would go with it.
