Listening to Radio Manchester whilst driving to last night's match, they interviewed Roberto Martinez and the inevitable question was asked. To his credit (or openly they do not want to appear to be singularly blaming their co-users for the ills of the pitch) he explained that it was down to the players to perform with whatever conditions are placed before them.
If this is the Latics stance on the subject, they should make more of an effort to quash this ridiculous continual condemnation of the Warriors for the pitch, especially after such a harsh winter. One way or another, I'm not sure if the Latics have "people" openly saying what they know they cannot claim themselves without appearing moronic and contradictory.
This will be the third time now (at least) that the pitch will have been relaid and fans told "this will solve the problem"... maybe the solution will be a more expensive one than the constant, simply cosmetic approach to what is a continuous problem for the stadium.

It really irritates me when I think of the condition the pitch is left in after our final game of every season!!
dont rise to it mate.Lineker is going to be biased the soft sod and like has been said he is ill informed. The real truth is that the latics are a bunch of fairies and probably couldnt win a game if the pitch was relaid every week!
