I think we should be aiming for better than LMS. Jeff Lima, as Medlocke said, would be superb.
I'm half thinking of a good organising scrum-half (but also half thinking that Tommy is only 24, and can still grab that spot). Nobody in SL fits the bill, but if we could get Cronk, or someone of that standard, that would be great.
Those two positions, for me, would be enough. I'd want to keep enough cap space to improve the contracts of the good youngsters we have, rather than blow a bundle on Inglis (or a similar quality player) and have to let half a dozen go to cover his wage.

Carmont has an option for next year dependent on him making an unknown number of appearances

Madge knows the NRL scene pretty well, and I am sure there are a few younger players out there that could prove themselves in the Superleague and would not break the bank.
I have been one speaking out for Cooper Cronk, but to be honest I thought he only had an average test against the Kiwi's. He is well off the Thurston level of RL.
A decent young Aussie or Kiwi who is prepared to knuckle down would be my choice.

Melbourne winger, Matt Duffie. The lad can't stop scoring tries. He's tall, fast and young. Was also a New Zealand high jump winner in school. ;D

that's all well and good but can he defend, if not we might as well go with Ainscough
IMO we need a Prop maybe 2 depends on who leaves at end of year, also Scrum Half or a Hooker if Piggy leaves and a Winger/Full back

Yes he can defend, and if Carmont goes, I'd put Pryce in the centers with Duffie on the outside of him. A good combination if it ever happened in my opinion.
Also I'd like to see Luke Burgess in a Wigan shirt.

I wouldn't like to see us spend large amounts of money on a single player as its stung us in the past for example feilden and theres no guarantee he will stay injury free.
So it would be who we could get for good money.
Personally if i had the ability to sign anyone it would be a world class hooker like Cameron smith. Thats our weakest position. Riddell is far from world class and macca is still developing. Lulu plays well at the position but he isn't a hooker.

I would disagree.it took a week to discover Lulu is a hooker for NZ you dont win a world cup winners medel for being a poor hooker.
