RESULT? BAN
Senior lashed out with his feet, catching a standing player in the face with his boot, cutting him so severely he needed stitches and had to miss 20 minutes of the game.
RESULT? NO BAN
It's so pathetic it makes me sick. The RFL are a joke and couldn't do a better job of ruining rugby league if they tried.
not only that the player that replaces Tompkins get sin bined for doing a empression of westlife (flying with out wings)
I e-mailed the rfl after this game. And e-mailed them when that blind deaf and dumb git silverwood cocked up.And I have yet to receive a reply from the gutless bunch of bas***ds.Cannot see the point of them.
What seems a bit daft is that Keith Senior received no ban because there was no intention to hurt Tomkins and his actions were "clumsy", yet Andy Coley had no intention of hurting Delaney his tackle was careless leading to the player being put in an unsafe position yet Coley is banned.
A spare tackle is dangerous and should receive a one match ban but being kicked in the head can also cause some damage and considering in the course of the match Delaney was fine yet Tomkins was knocked unconscious and required treatment on an injury above his eye. Careless and recklessly kicking opponents in the head should have the same punishment as careless and recklessly putting players into dangerous positions.
I also think Senior was warned about his 'kicking out' in tackles a few seasons ago after a similar incident.
