I had a chat with a Stains fan in Down Under Leisure in Whitehaven, he was a right misery. He reckoned Long was training with Wigan and certain to sign, he didn't take my reply with the humour it was intended. Then in Southport today I walked past a Stains fan who couldn't take some friendly rivalry, they don't half take things seriously the miserable gets.

Johnny Vegas was in the East Stand on Saturday, he looked a right miserable fat lump at the end of the game. Bizarrely there was also another fat lump of a Scouser complaining that the bookies were shut after the game. We couldn't work out why he'd want the bookies to be open, since Wigan had scored first try scorer, we were ahead at half time and obviously won the game. Had he done like the bleached blond bobbled-haired tart and bet against his own team?

I've not wanted Leigh to come up since we played them in the challenge cup a couple of seasons ago, when the fans were throwing things at the Wigan players.
