I cannot see MM changing what was a winning formula.I am more than happy to see Sam remain at full back. If you remember it was quite a blustery day at Leeds and I think this was instrumental with regards to Sams kicking game. The change of halves seemed to even things up somewhat. Though to be perfectly frank about it. Our kicking game was not upto the standards we have come to expect. Even Deacs was pretty well off the mark. Leaving Sam at full back gives him more freedom allowing him to be more creative.Infact I would leave the team just as it was against Leeds. With the hope that Feka can stay on the field a little longer. We need he impact of Feka against the Stains. Stains front row could cause us a few problems unless they understand that we are bossing the field. So come on boys do us proud! :D :D

Personally, and I don't get to see as many games as most on here, I think Sam is more of a threat at FB and caqn see him getting the No 1 shirt next season, but I guess that depends on whether we sign another hooker.
Can't see the Mighty Majestic Madge changing things for this of all games.
Just hope Amos has a great pre season and gets his old confidence back.

I know this particular forum is dedicated to discussion on "all things Wigan Warriors", but surely the day before the grand final it might be better to talk about things like what tactics should/ shouldn't be used tomorrow; the team selection etc and not parking spaces at Old Trafford. There are the “Information and FAQs”; “Away Days” & “The Rumour Mill” forums which seem to be better for this kind of post.

To answer this question, I, as a moderator, would more than likely move these sort of posts at any other time of the season, but, as Mr Dave says, people are excited & just want to talk about anything & everything.
So a bit of leniency I think is the order of the day:)

BTW I've got washing machine stomach.... & its been on the 3rd cycle for two days

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

So, in the spirit of practicing what I preach, what are peoples’ thoughts on Sam playing FB? I thought McClennan had clearly targeted this in Leeds' attack: in the first half, they really weren't letting up on Sam, forcing him to offload and therefore loose the advantage of meters gained on the first tackle that we have been benefiting from since playing Sam in this position. In such a vital game, I can't see Potter overlooking this for tomorrow. In addition, with Eastmond out, wouldn't we be better off trying to capitalise on this and have Sam playing his IMO natural position of stand off?
Proof of the pudding is in the eating. Sam was once again fabulous at fullback. He will always be targeted but what impresses me most of all is that along with his talent, he is one gutsy clever player.
