Of course it could just be a coincidence that I'd never had any problems before til I banged it and if I hadn't it might have gone anyway as I walked up the hill. It could also be a coincidence that Pat plays all season then goes off injured in the very place he was stamped on half an hour before but I know what my money's on
You're right here. I've luckily never injured my achilles seriously (please may that continue), but perhaps 10 years or so ago, I had some squash shoes that were too flat and rigid. After wearing them one game, I got home and my wife notice a golf ball sized swelling on the back of my achilles and screamed. Apparently fluid had leaked through a tiny tear and was pressing against the membrane. It wasn't remotely sore and went down in a day or two, before healing properly (thank you lord).

.. So I suppose Graham could have aggravated it in the first instance ??.......

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

yup its not very pleasant to say the least when it goes. Had my hand pinned up after breaking it a few years ago and the pain post op was pretty bad when the morphine wore off but I'd say achilles pain was worse not so much at the time it goes but it gets progressively worse without pain relief to the point of wanting to chop your foot off lol. Try avoid it if you can ;)

Obviously can't prove it but can't see any reason why a fella the size of Graham standing on a tendon wouldn't cause enough damage to rupture said tendon at a later time :p. Either way he's a dirty ginger dummy spitting scouse sh*thouse.
Gareth Thomas before his first game: "You wanna spend 10 mins getting smashed up by these guys..Big dudes here.."
