I dont really see how being an unused sub will do him any good. Being on loan and playing week in week out, even if it is just in the championship, will be of far more benefit.

I think A&Ls point was that if he is on the first team bench, he will have a chance of a run out. Has to start somewhere!

or maybe getting a feel with the first team and settling into the structure but would rather have him playing week in week out at widnes for now
