Hemmings!!!Give me strength

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

In all honesty I actually think Eddie and Stevo bring excitement to the game, the way Eddie raises his voice when something big happens, I remember last season and Sams try against Huddersfield....

"This is Tomkiiiiiiiiins!!! Look at this boy go!!!"

Or when Stevo analyzes a try just after it's been scored, a couple inparticular spring to mind, i.e. Glenn Morrison scoring for Bradford with his shorts nearly round his ankles....

"Ohhhh he almost lost his knickers!!!"

Or even when Thierry Alibert missed a forward pass that lead to a try....

"Oh!! Uncle Alberts made a boo boo there!"

We may not agree with what they say a lot of the time BUT Bill Arthurs voice is just not as exciting as Eddie or Stevo's.

"It's wide to West......."

He is an embarassment to the game and any decent Sky Subscribing citizen should agree.

I propose we start an official petition ............any backers?
Merged -already a post re Eddie Hemmings
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

This is no doubt the Eddie Hemmings who spoke up in support of Sam Tomkins getting booed both at Headingley for England and again at Saints. He said it saddened him that there was such antipathy for a really good player. That will be his supposed anti-Wigan bias will it?
What rubbish gets written in these blogs just because he talks honestly about the game.
I believe he used to commentate for football but converted to our great game when first asked to do so by Sky. He has been an unstinting supporter ever since and all credit to him for that.
And anyone who commentates live will make mistakes, but I shall use this blog to put up my hand for support.
He is never as impolite as some of the drivel written here and the kind of things written about him are both inaccurate and rude. He may not say what you might have said, but that doesn't make him bad, biased or ill informed. So get off his back.
You like him, we don't...end of...simple really

I think it's funny that as soon as Stevethegas spoke up about the positive things Hemmings has said, then a number of people spoke up in his support. May be it's cool to dislike him?
I personally don't really like him as a presenter but as a commentator he's not too bad due to the "look at this boy go," "It's wide to West," moments. For me the answer would be to get a new presenter for the show and have Eddie and Stevo doing the commentary. Stevo certainly seems to be doing less work in the Studio and I think that it's benefitted him.
May be time for eddie to hand up his wig and fake tan. and stick to speaking without a camera on him??

"But look at, look at Lydon go here...Remniscent of those two great tries when he won the Lance Todd... He's got Hanley inside him. He's going all the way..........."

in commentary hes grand but imo he should not be presenting. Sky in football, golf etc dont have someone double jobbing and it works well. He says his most infuriating things when the camera is on him, his playing up of how good games are going to be at times can sometimes be verging on sounding desperate.

Let carney anchor and eddie sit in the gantry, will work the best!!!

You remind me of a chap who used to come in our local pub. He'd sink four pints in half an hour then go home, leaving everyone else falling out with each other!

I think he was right to ask the question. Hudd looked way out of sorts, their forwards especially. Very disappointed in the effort they showed.

Surely there would be a better explanation than the team bus broke down though!!
