Fair point about Aussie coaches, 100% look at top 5, all Aussie coached, not a coincidence IMO I feel as if we are taking a step back.

I'm surprised as this is exactly the reason IL quoted for signing MM in the first place.100% Warrior wrote:As Han Solo would say "I've got a bad feeling about this"
No problem with Waney but I would have liked some Aussie influence in the coaching setup, we might not like it but they're still ahead of us in coaching.

So the horses mouth is not Wane or Harris?wiganjack95 wrote:This has come from the same source has Harris and they were at a function speaking for a good hour Scully has never been in the running, just wish Harris was a rumour too but unfortunately ... :conf:
My information is that Wane and Scully were together having a drink(s) and Wane made the proposal. Scully though he was joking (drink talking). Day or so after Waney confirmed he was serious.

I'm not sure I like the idea but it's not up to me,but apparently it's been mentioned on another post that Justin Morgan is leaving Hull KR at the end of the season.....now I do rate him as a coach..not sure if he would come as assistant thoughjobo wrote:I'm surprised as this is exactly the reason IL quoted for signing MM in the first place.100% Warrior wrote:As Han Solo would say "I've got a bad feeling about this"

Find this a little hard to believe given IL will have been looking for a coach since the announcement Mcguire was leaving and that Harris was, until last tuesday, the head coach of a super league club that supposedly had a bright future. It's all happened a bit quickly hasn't it?

I have it on good authority that Shaun Wane will be head coach next season, but don't know anything about his assistant yet.
I wouldn't really be impressed with Harris or Scully to be honest

Until it is confirmed by the club, it is still a rumour & hearsay!wiganjack95 wrote:Did not put this is in the rumour forum because I heard it today straight from the horses mouth, Shaun Wane head coach and Iestyn Harris to be assistant contracts to be signed next week should probably be released after that.
Which horse are you talking about?

Re: Shaun Wane & Iestyn Harris
I'm confused :eh:
Wigan has had two years under a head coach who has built a rapport between players & coaching staff that is working. His 2nd banana in that time was a bloke who not only endorsed that culture but thrived on it.
But some of you would rather throw that away & bring in another aussie,(with different ideas, coz only Bellamy & Bennett operate in a similar vein),because aussie is best ?
DO NOT screw up a chance to have a home grown talent make it to the top :conf:
