My father always advocated that you should go to Wembley when Wigan get there because you never know when they will next be there. 1984 being the first since Cas in 70? So we never missed one, and I will continue that belief.

All well and good cpw but unfortunately work dictates that I shall be missing it this year.Unfortunately my age and the lack of viable work in this area one as to consider the options left open to me should I choose to defy my employers. This being a bank holiday weekend everyone wishes to grab whatever holidays they can.Unfortunately I missed the boat on this occasion. The one good thing going in my favour is that I am able to finish work at 1.00pm so at the very least I will be able to watch it on tv.Once again for those fortunate enough to get to Wembley I hope everyone as an utterly fantastic day and that the result will be a favourable one.I shall be slowly getting intoxicated with each and every passing minute of the game.

I won't be there physically (unless my other half wins tonights lotto cos then he's promised to fly me over :eusa3: ) but I will be watching during the wee small hours (hopefully fingers crossed the link I've been given works :eusa10:) over the net from my front room in Auckland which will again be decorated as it was for the GF .... I plan on waking the neighbours cheering

as mentioned previously my non league loving midland mother has a birthday, an I would follow the advice about her having one next year but at 74 you never know, plus there is my inheritance to consider.
However I have my shirt, my cider an my (as she puts it) fishwife head ready to cheer from her sofa.....

I can't go either: a combination of ill-health, old age and living in Germany!!
BUT.... I will be cheering them on like a mad thing on 'tele fortified by large amounts of Pils!!
I have a lot of good memories of the Glory Days at the old Wembley though.
C'mon Wigan!!
