Favourite moment?
Re: Favourite moment?
Some fans are so embarassing. I had one behind me who must have been Stevo's love child, he was shouting 'Take the 1' from the moment we went 6-0 up.

Re: Favourite moment?
My favourite moment was Sam's 'V sign' to the Leeds so called RL fans that in general are nothing short of imbeciles along with most of the staff and players, the mentality of the whole club is simply disgraceful and unacceptable. My favourite moment would have been Joel's try if he would have jumped in the Leeds end after he scored and knocked a few inbreds out!!

Re: Favourite moment?
This lad was a complete turd, he kept leaning over me while he was trying to wind up this lass from Warrington who was about 15 at the most. I muttered 'shut up' under my breath and he heard me so he started goin 'who you telling to shut up' so I told him to chill out and enjoy the match instead of getting in people's faces. I thought for a second he was gonna kick off but he laughed and said something virtually incoherent about it being impossible to get in someone's face when you're behind them and that he'd 'let me off' because I was a Wigan fan. 99% of the time I don't say anything to people like that but he caught me on a bad day haha. Although I dont drink very often I have nothing against people who do unless they forget how to behave so it was nice to get away from him and watch the game in peace.

Re: Favourite moment?
Getting a text on the way down from Feka, saying his wife had given birth to their baby girl
Happy to see Mr Lenegan leading out the team, seeing his dream is fulfilled.
Josh's try.
Joel's try, fantastic.
The great pass from Prescott for Lima's first try.
Lima's tries, Tommy's try.
Seeing Sean O'Loughlin lifting the trophy & seeing one of my dreams fulfilled
so pleased for him
Seeing Shaun Wane's face, he was so proud of these boys, a lot of them who have come thru' his U18's & U20's.
Seeing Paul deacon nearly in tears because of his dream fulfilled.
So many special moments I could go on until the GF

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Another one to add to the list:
Around 16 minutes Tommy tackles Webb, the ball comes loose, scrum to Wigan.
Webb says something to Tommy and Tommy bends over him and says something back.
On 18 minutes the next tackle Webb takes is again from Tommy, but this time Tommy nearly snaps Webb in half leaving the poor bloke on the deck in agony.

Thought this was brilliant Josie, as Webb must have said something nasty for Tommy to verbally react the way he did in that first tackle.josie andrews wrote:Oh yes, just forgot to mention that. And he certainly didnt miss him in the next one around 18 minutes.
Worth the entrance fee alone.

Re: Favourite moment?
The whole day was brilliant, but stand out moments for me were as follows :
* Seeing Ian Lenagan on Wembley Way taking time out to talk to the fans before the game.
* Taking my 23 month old grandson to his first final.
* Josh Charnleys try was amazing.
* Joel Tomkins try even better.
* The faces of Sinfield and co when the TRY sign went up on the big screen for Tommys try.
* The final whistle and my heart could return to a normal rate.
* Me and my better half strolling around the outside of the stadium at 11 pm and re living the whole experience.
* Watching the game again on Sunday evening and realising it wasn't a dream
PERFECT !!!

Re: Favourite moment?
There seemed to be a lot of trash talk throughout the game, more than normal. There seems to be a growing bitterness between the 2 sides. Will be tasty if we play them again.Panchitta Marra wrote:Thought this was brilliant Josie, as Webb must have said something nasty for Tommy to verbally react the way he did in that first tackle.josie andrews wrote:Oh yes, just forgot to mention that.
