Just when you think last weeks refing was the worst youve seen!
Re: Just when you think last weeks refing was the worst youve...
The ref was awful and made a number of decisions against us. But let's be honest, Saints forwards battered our forwards. That's what won the game for them, not Bentham.

The last 2 posts do have a point but contribute to that Bentham taking them back 9 metres and letting them play offside as well so in essence 8 an 1/2 metres back then take us back when we are defending 11 and blow us up for offside, what effect do you think this would have and before anyone says it isnt easy to spot or stop any ref from doing this. When a penalty is awarded now its massive it can be the difference between defending on your oppositions 20 to defending on your own 20!
The refs have a crucial part to play in our sport but for a bunch of paid professionals they act and play like amateurs (silverspoon and albert excluded now a question to the floor, what do you think would happen if our or any teams players played week in week out with a performance not worthy of st judes level?!?!

The problem with so many fans is they don't know the rules. The line can move in as soon as the ball is played with the foot. Now its impossible to watch the play the ball at the same time as the defensive line out so people think they are offside when they are not.
If a ref notices that the line is moving in quick or not getting back he will take them back 12 then let them in a little.
If you watch it properly at a game you will see its the same for both teams.
As for the other decisions, then i think they went 50/50. Shentons pass was forward but so was the one to pat. We tackles them in the air twice, but wellens did persistant obstructions.
don't think the ref was to bad yesterday, now Ganson on Friday was shocking and does show that CP is correct and it was corrupt reffing.
