Wasps club (they are one of the big ones!) has been put up for sale, and getting rid of players & coaching staff to reduce the wage bill. Home attendances at only around 4,500. Saracens only slightly more.

Chickens starting to come home to roost in union & sugar daddies' cash now under more pressure at home, higher risks of getting poor value investments in loss-making hobbies.

Someone will buy Wasps and put a load of cash in. RU is a cheap way to a lot more publicity than most sports so while you won't get your Russian Oligarch or Arab Sheik rushing to buy you may find someone turning up willing to fund it.

Worse case scenario is someone does and has enough cash for another raid on RL.
