I would like to see charnley and goulding swap positions at times, Josh was screaming for the ball at times and seen very little today

Goulding saw very little ball so swapping positions would have made no difference at all. A centre can only give the winger the ball if he gets it himself.

I have to say that from the SoL testimonial, Dudson looked unfit for the Wigan level.

I'm not saying this is something that can't be worked on, but he was blowing up after a couple of sets. From where I was sat (near the dugout's) it looked as if he was being given more game time precisely for this reason. I'd be surprised if he broke through any time soon. He has some real hard work ahead, even more so with two less substitutions.

I thought Dudson looked ok at Wembley against NZ and they have a massive pack. He ran all day and really took some putting down. He also put some big hits in.

Oh no, only just thought, he's had 3 months at Wigan and now he's unfit and blowing alot. Just like plenty other 1st teamers.

I have no issues with Goulding playing, but thought he was more a right sided player?
Where do you think he's playing if he's alongside Charnley?
oops. I wasn't as peep as some drinkle thunk I was. I meant left, I spent several minutes visualising the stadium from where I normally sit in the sounth stand, and, in a 50/50 call picked the wrong one. Muppet!

Cumbrian I agree with you entirely but if I can see it so can everyone else .

I was going to put some money on Charnley as the top try scorer this year , but when I saw that Goulding was his centre . I didn`t bother .
Goulding like Marsh is a winger he very rarely looks to pass and has to prove himself to Wane .

I personally would swap them round and put Goulding on the wing .

What concerns me most about all of this is not the fact that certain players are unfit. It's that seasoned players have not been replaced with quality signings. We lost players Like Andy Coley,R Hoffman,M Gleeson,P Deacon. And have brought in sub standard quality instead of seeking like for like players.I'm obviously concerned that players are not match fit for the first game of the season but my main concerns are as previously stated sub standard players. If we are going to take a punt on players like Dudson,Flowers, and Gelling then I would much prefer giving the youth a shot at the big time.Only time will tell if these players do indeed make the grade. :D

I have to sat this is completely wrong.

I have seen Goulding play an awful lot since his St Pats days and he is absolutely nothing like Marsh. Goulding is an out and out centre, always has been, and has always been a real wingers centre. I remember being told years ago by an ex Wigan coach that technically Goulding was one of the best centres he had seen. There is a reason various coaches have never allowed Goulding to leave the club, even when he has wanted to and indeed one of his greatest admirers is Shaun Wane. If he was half as bad as people try to make out he would have been let go years ago. I also dont really know where this ball greedy thing has come from, probably by a few posters on RLFans that cant stand Goulding, but he has set up loads of tries at centre for the amount of times he has played there.

Charnley in contrast is an out and out winger who is a great finisher with pace to burn who could well be an international in that position. I have never seen anything in him to suggest he would make a decent centre and from the limited games I have seen of him there dont think he has the hands or defensive game. He may well make a decent centre but he could be a great winger.
