Re: Is Finch staying????
I never make promises I cannot keep

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I thought he was on record of saying he wants to stay at Wigan: if the price is right I suppose.
He is now a more valuable player.

Worrying times moreso about Tommy's replacement
Re: Is Finch staying????
With Tommy leaving, keeping Finch is a must

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

Re: Is Finch staying????
If the Soward rumours have substance he will be an adequate replacement for Tommy. We would miss Finch more his organising is exceptional and he can give any HB a master class in pass selection!
Re: Is Finch staying????
As usual the rumour mills are running red hot. And, as usual, the Club aren't helping - even a statement to the effect "discussions are taking place re. Finchy staying" would be better than nowt. Or have I missed something?
My own personal view is losing Finchy and Tommy would be very hard to cope with in the short term.
These two are the pivotal players for Wigan at the moment and are at the heart of Wigan's attack.
I sometimes think Wigan's management loves to raise us spectators anxiety levels!!! :eusa10: :eusa10: :eusa10:

Re: Is Finch staying????
We need him to re sign, will be very difficult to replace both halves in a season and not effect play

It would be a huge blow to lose both half backs so getting Finch tied down to a new contract is a must. With Roberts retired and Fielden probably not gonna get a new deal surely there should be plenty of cash to offer Finch a better deal and still leave a substantial amount to replace Tommy with a big name signing.
Personally i'd be very surprised if he left though.
