I think we should let him prove himself, but i was speaking to a wire fan at work who said he played well for them and he said he wished they would have kept him

Sound like hes in the mould of Craig Smith and O'Connor. Pity those 2 got old.primrose-n-blue posted:
Jez was a favorite of many at Warrington.
He is a direct player who never takes a step backwards. only going one direction straight up the middle.
His game though isn't expansive and never runs the angles, but give him the ball from 5 yards out and he'd crash over every time.
He is a solid tackler, calm and never loses it, so you wont find him spending 10 in the bin.
Jez's departure from our club was probably more of a personal issue with the coach than the offial line of salary cap!
Personally, I think his traditional way of rugby didn't fit with PC's idea of a 2/3 pronged attack!
I honestly feel that he will be very suited to Wigan's middle go forward game and will come to the HJ and destroy us up the middle.
He didn't pass very often and it was rare to see him off load, but i'm sure that that would have already been rectified by playing union at Breive.
I think within 2 games you will be saying he is the best signing you have made in recent years.
Too boot, he is a very nice guy who will talk honestly to any fan, he is very approachable and that is why he was a favourite of many at Warrington.
Just one thing, please don't expect him to match up with Faz, he isn't a leader, a kicker or expansive.
If you do, you wont see his true addition to your club.

Think that's quite important to remember, well said primrose and I do think that people are expecting each stand in captain to do as well as Faz does, even though they know that these players are possibly not capable of that standard of leadership just yet/ever!primrose-n-blue posted:

On that subject, I'm absolutely gutted with something I heard from O'Connor the other week. He said he hadn't enjoyed being at Wigan for the last couple of seasons, however he did say that it was personal reasons.thegimble posted:
