I don't like this repeated talk of the game against Stains being 'only for Pride', as a matter of principle we need to smash them at every opportunity we can.
Jeff Lima has been one of our best forwards this season Ian, his workload for a big man with repeated carries in a single set of six tackles are amazing.
I was one of the biggest knockers of Jeff Lima when Feka was shown the door, however, Lima has changed my opinion of the bloke.
To be honest I think we will miss him next season much more than we think.

How is he a Top Class player, he hasn't played in 2 seasons, he was crap fort 2 seasons and decent for 1.5 seasons, he was a top class player while at Bradford, he hasn't been since (Coley was better imo)why should somebody deserving of that place be denied it because a player who should have called it a day is too proud to retire.

I would not play Fielden ever again, apart from a few average games he has been poor, nothing like the player he was at the Bulls.

No point using him for the last 20 minutes, we need our forwards from the bench much much earlier - even if it a) Hull KR and b) Fielden.

IMO should only use him if there is a serious injury worry - we've done well so far this year (and last)

Fact is the forwards he had around him at the Bulls where probably the best in super league, the players when he came here were nowhere near the standard of those. When the club developed and recruited better forwards that coincided with Stuart Fieldens best displays because he had a better supporting pack, unfortunately he also had a bad run of injuries in the latter part of his current contract. If he can finish the season in positive form and the club feel he's worth another 12 months I wouldnt be against it whatsoever he could still do a decent job for us. A young pack needs the odd old head over a season.

That old head is neither use nor ornament on the treatment table!

Would have him on the bench. If we get any more injuries to our props we will be in trouble as Stu will not be anywhere near up to speed come the business end of the season unless we get him some game time now.

i wonder if everybody would be happy if he did get some game time then played in the play offs and his superb defence cost us the chance of the SL trophy, not worth the risk, he's been out that long that he'd probably need 6 or 7 games to get anywhere near match fitness

Stuart Feilden the player we knew was ended with that one punch by Mason - people will point to other things but that was the moment that his career turned. He went from being an invincible hard-man to dropped in one punch. Before anyone starts - yes i probably would of been dead from the same punch and yes anyone probably would go down from the same sweet spot but that's not the point it took that aire of invincibility from him and once the leaks started you had every tom dick and harry wanting to smash him next.

He picked up again after the dust up with Mason (keith) at hudds and we saw the fire return but alas i think his body had seen one too many 80mins games by that time.
