I agree

A fantastic decision and a great opportunity for him. I sincerely hope Sam makes the same decision at the end of next season

I agree

Russell was probably going to be the replacement but needed another couple of years to iron out a few of his weak points and was likely to be Tomkins understudy until that point. The chance to go over to Australia would be too much for anyone to turn down so it's no surprise he's taken that opportunity.

Will someone like Lewis Tierney be ready or perhaps Ryan Hampshire will be another stand off who is better suited to the fullback role.

Replacing Tomkins is going to be incredibly difficult.
I don't think we can replace him, we can merely make do.
