I don't wish them well at all and I hope they lose. There are many in Wigan who follow football but follow other teams. I've followed another team since the 70's and that doesn't change because my home town club play in the premiership.

I've watched them a couple of times this season and to be fair the style of football they play is far better than the hit and hope type of stuff under Jewel. They were murdered in both games but heyho.

I forgot about that. Going for a semi final though takes a bit of the shine off it.

Maybe Wembley needs the money. Wonder how many 'Club Wembley' seats will be occupied?

I've just googled it and I quote the Guardian,

"The FA, which owns Wembley, requires semi-finals to be played there principally to help pay off the £757m cost of building the new stadium, which opened in 2007. The latest FA accounts, for the year to 31 December 2009, show £342m of the Wembley costs had yet to be repaid, and a £309m bank loan was outstanding. The FA expects the stadium to require a further £64m subsidy until 2014, when it hopes Wembley will finally break even."

So it's true, they do need the money but only until next year.
