I'd agree with that. I just hope having been given the No. 4 jersey this isn't going to limit Hughes chances back in the pack.

I think with the emergence of Thornley it should be seen as an opportunity not to have to make the same kind of compromise with Hughes in the centres as you point out we made with Joel T.

I certainly hope Wane doesn't drop Thornley to justify giving Hughes the no 4 jersey.

I think Thornley has earned himself that centre position now. Hughes will likely fit in when there are players out as we aren't deep at centre by any stretch but otherwise he'll possibly revert to bench second row / squad player. No reflection on Hughes himself.

Think SW will go with 4 forwards on the bench for this one so I would say Hughes will be on the bench rather than Burke as he can cover centre if we get any injuries in the backs.

Makes sense to have Hughes in if Goulding isn't 100%, and like doc said he's then cover for a number of positions.
