Re: Gelling
I thought it was a shoulder charge after he passed the ball in the bulid upto sams try. That why it got put on report straight after the try and thats when matty left the pitch.BriH wrote:Now Shaun Wayne is talking about a shoulder charge on Matty. He is fuming! :redf:

Still think it was a chicken wing, but hey, my eyesight isn't as good as some of the young ones

But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Gelling
Will this mean one of the academy lads gets a chance in the halves?
I too feel sorry for Gelling, not had much luck at all. Still don't think he is good enough for Wigan RL though. When is his contract up?

Re: Gelling
If Wane doesn't do what he did last year i.e. put Lockers in the halves which I really hope he doesn't) then Powell is next in the line, followed by Williams based on 1st team call ups this yearNeeNawWarrior22 wrote:Will this mean one of the academy lads gets a chance in the halves?

I'd be happy for Powell to be given the opportunity to show what he has got to offer. Just hope he doesn't take the blame if anything goes wrong a la Jack Murphy v Leeds!markill wrote:If Wane doesn't do what he did last year i.e. put Lockers in the halves which I really hope he doesn't) then Powell is next in the line, followed by Williams based on 1st team call ups this yearNeeNawWarrior22 wrote:Will this mean one of the academy lads gets a chance in the halves?

There's a thought, what about Murphy at FB and Sam in the halves? That would really confuse em!

That was the way I was thinking.

Re: Gelling
Blow for Anthony Gelling
WIGAN coach Shaun Wane is facing the grim prospect of being without centre Anthony Gelling for three months due to a broken collarbone.
The Cook Islands international, 22, suffered the injury in Friday’s 46-6 victory against Salford – his first appearance since recovering from a knee injury that ruled him out for a spell earlier this year.
Wane said: “It’s a blow for Gells but he will come back stronger and, in the meantime, it gives an opportunity to someone else.”
Wane, meanwhile, faces a nervous wait to discover the seriousness of England scrum-half Matty Smith’s shoulder injury.
