IIRC, our fan base was ageing but growing in female numbers.

A support of all ages and both genders.

Coming up to 72 and still love watching Wigan even if it's only on the 'tele!
Loved the atmosphere at Central Park and was very sad to be at the last game.
I feel very privileged to have seen Billy B, Eric Ashton and all the other great players who followed.
This current team IMO is very good.
Hope I'm still posting in another 28 years!!!!!! :) :) :)

I'm always pleased at away games to see a great cross-section of ages and genders.

Me myself, I'm 28, I go with 3 other people as season ticket holders - All male, one aged mid-40s, 2x late 20s and an early 20s student.

Before he passed away my grandad came, over the years many of my uncles/aunts, cousins and siblings have had season tickets and most still come to the odd game now, both male and female, ranging from under 10 to about 50. I expect that I'll still be going when I'm Bri's age if I'm capable. If I have any children they'll probably come too, along with anyone else who wants to come with me to games.

By the way, none of us are from Wigan, they were just the closest team to where we do come from when my uncle started watching the sport in the mid-1980s (it didn't hurt that we were the best team too I suppose)

Well I am in my early 50's but my son who would not be a fan without my introducing him to the game is 19 and a season ticket holder as well (despite being away at Uni half the time).

He also doesn't frequent this site but like many of his generation is into Facebook and similar sites.

So perhaps any poll on here has to take into account this kind of site like rlfans maybe the preserve of an older generation anyway.

He also plays the game now he has the chance (there was no junior RL in Chester) and will be Aberystwyth Uni's starting no 9 next season so I think I have done a good job replenishing the fan base stock for when I do pop me clogs!
