Make a change for us to be given 'Benefit of the doubt' if that is the reason why the try was given.

Watched it dozens of time and still not certain either way. But if the ball landed on the try line and hit the corner flag simultaneously, then it should be a try, as the corner post doesn't count as out of play anymore. Therefore, benefit of the doubt, at the very least, should apply.

These sort of decisions usually go against us so it's nice to have one in our favour for once.

Just watched it again for the sixth time it wasn't a try. Try line and touch in goal at the same time. Nowt to do with the corner flag.

If your body hits the flag its not out, if the ball hits it then it is.

Crazy and makes no sense but that is what Cummins was trying to explain.

Was at the game but had no time to see my recording on TV, so it would be interesting to hear what comments were made in the Sky studio, particularly by James Child the VR and his reason to award the try ?

He obviously has a process to go through in deciding whether or not a try has been scored ?

This could possibly go down in history as the most controversial and debated decision since this technology came in ??

This is another case of the RFL tinkering with the rules without clarifying the change. Most commentators have been saying the corner flag no longer counts as in touch,so I assumed this meant body and ball, now after this controversial incident it appears it only applies to the body. In this case it seems to be simultaneous contact so should the decision by the VR be benefit of the doubt to the attacking team.

The video referee Bobby. It is when it is so hard to make the call you weight your decision to the attacking team.

On the angle you see most often re Charnley it looks impossible to say to no try. Another angle showed a very narrow strip of green between ball and line.
