We have an option in our favour on most of the other players people expect to be leaving I thought.

I suppose Spencer might go because he isn't getting the opportunities.

It would be more sensible to first get a list of out of contract players, then list those we don't have an option in our favour on, if anyone have that info.
I think Spencer will.be given a chance next year, unless the coaches at Wigan.are not impressed with what they are seeing at Leigh. My.friend is big Leigh fan and he.said he.is tearing it up.

Thats why I'm surprised he hasn't had more of a chance this year and so am thinking he might be looking to move on

Wish I had just fed up of wane saying that if senior players are not up to it they won't play for weeks now smith and green have been rubbish yet he won't let Powell and Williams play on Friday it looked like hardly any one could be bothered I would rather watch youngsters go out and play there hearts and loose than the players that are out there at the moment with a few exceptions they don't seem intrested not Micky mac

Why oh why isn't he being given a chance in the Wigan 1st team? Why are players like Luaki holding players like Spencer back. I honestly do not understand that one.

After the game last night, Hansen was saying he was here for another 12 months and then it was out of his hands. I think Lenegan will be waiting until after CC to announce Sam's departure.

Why wouldn't IL want to keep Hansen on?

I think the point with Hansen is that we don't need to offer him anything till halfway through next year. We had an option and exercised it.
As to the others, I think mossop's leaving will be offset by the improvements of all the other props. Hopkins for Tuson could work out fine as well.
As for the backs, Bowen for Sam, and Sarginson as utility. We need one more.

Tucson is going Wakefield isn't he? I don't think Bowen is the answer to replacing Sam. It will be interesting to see what Hopkins does. Is Sarginson a definite purchase?

This is where it becomes a rumour
4 Tompkins
5 charnley
I think these next few may leave
6 Hanson
7 rhodric lyod ( the welsh kid on loan to London)
8 Lewis theirney
9 Tom spencer
10 gelling
11 luaki
12 crosby
13 Williams
14 Powell ( prop)
15 Powell ( half back )
What do others think ?[/list]
I am sure Wigan have taken up options on Hansen's and Gellings contracts which means they will be here next year.

Lauki has another year to go on his contract (with an option for a 4th year after that but I think the option is for the club not the player to use) and Powell has two more years (I think). No one is going to try and prize these players out of our hands so we are stuck with them for the duration of their contracts.

As to the young players it depends when their contracts are up. It's not a given they will stay but we can only take each one of those as they come IMO.
