Only an idiot...
Re: Only an idiot...
It is easy to criticise, I do wonder how such fans felt about Andy Gregory who would turn up for numerous training session hungover, not in the mood, even sulked on the wing mid game once just to prove a point, took his ball home once or twice AND yet was an amazing RL player (even if he could only pass properly in one direction)

Some players can do that but they are few and far between. Didn't George Best once turn up an hour before kick off, straight from an all night bender and go on to score a hat-trick?cpwigan wrote:It is easy to criticise, I do wonder how such fans felt about Andy Gregory who would turn up for numerous training session hungover, not in the mood, even sulked on the wing mid game once just to prove a point, took his ball home once or twice AND yet was an amazing RL player (even if he could only pass properly in one direction)

We will get battered, Hock and the rest of the drinkers will be blamed, McNamara will be the victim before taking up his new position with RU!mickw wrote:well lets put up with this shambles then and see where we get.Aaron C. Great idea !, give the job to someone at less than 24 hours notice, that would really improve our chances.
Re: Only an idiot...
True KW but Greg was treated differently, some would say astutely by John Monie as were several Legends with huge egos. Sport is a strange beast. John Dorahay has shown what can happen if you treat every player the same. Even Madge has had to bend when dealing with the Burgess boys.

complete idiot. The whole thing is just one big embarassment; compounded when the Aussies murder us. On the positive side at least we'll get plenty coverage now in National press.

To be fair Aaron he should have gone along time ago, he is clearly out of his depth, which is no surprise looking at his club coaching record. My question is why is he still the coach? He didn't warrant it in the first place and clearly doesn't deserve to still have it now, shambles!!Aaron C. its too late to get rid now, but I do agree, with the respect or lack of it. He was a bad choice and should never have been considered for the england job.mickw wrote:Second rate coach that doesn't command the respect of the players,if we had a decent coach this wouldn't have happened get rid now before the thing starts.
such a pity when we possibly have the best selection of British/English players for many a year.

Re: Only an idiot...
I think this disciplinary business is petulance beyond belief by McNamara.
Where hock and all the other players in the wrong? yes
Is this just a weak man who has not got the respect of his players trying to make himself look strong? Yes
Should he try and prove how tough and strong he is by weakening our team? No
He's a man out of his depth, he's used this situation to try and force respect from his players, he should have done better earning it over the last 4 years.
If he's such a strong man and knows he done the right thing he should back himself and tell the press what we all know, that Graham and Mickey Mac have been disciplined and IMO so has Hardaker.

Would Mac have known about the other players if Hock hadn't have grassed them up?? :conf:
