Imagine the RU press getting hold of this if they are not in SL next year. We will be the M62 sport again!

Correct and merge with London Scholars as one club in London is enough.Mike wrote:The problem now is that if they do get into SL next season they will have a very poor team. They have no players and there will be no quality players available at this point. Thats not going to convince anyone to go and watch them. So they'll underperform financially and the pull will be pulled next season.
Even a new investor wouldn't be able to make them successful on the field at this point.
I think at this point they need to drop down a division and rebuild - with support from the RFL.

Suspect some of them do, but the problem is getting more of those who are not involved in the game to support the club and they have not helped themselves in recent seasons by playing in South West London where they are only interested in Rugby Union and Tennis.Kittwazzer wrote:Pity none of them want to support their professional team!Whelley Warrior wrote:Yes they have with the result that there are more schools in the London and Home Counties playing our game than many of the traditional rugby league areas along the M62.josie andrews wrote: The RFL have been helping them out for years!!
Far better for them to play at a ground nearer to the end of the M1 and M40 Motorways as it is terrible getting across London by Car or Coach and in my opinion deters supporters from the North going there for the day as it cuts down 'pre match time'.

London Broncos lodge intention to appoint administrator
London Broncos have lodged their intention to appoint an administrator as attempts continue to keep the club afloat.
The Super League side are in danger of going into administration and are seeking a new venue after their eight-year groundshare with rugby union side Harlequins at Twickenham Stoop came to an end last season.
Most of the playing staff have now left the club, whose future remains uncertain.
But club officials issued a positive update on their attempts to find a new home and now have further time to secure their future.
"London Broncos Rugby League can confirm that today (Wednesday) its lawyers filed a further Notice of Intention to Appoint an Administrator at Court," read an official statement.
"This period will allow the club a further 10 working days to hopefully reach a solution to secure the club's future and allow it to fulfil next season's fixtures.
"Talks with interested parties are at an advanced stage.
"There will be no further comment at this stage."
Half-back Michael Witt recently became the 16th Broncos player to leave a side that only narrowly avoided coming bottom of Super League last season, leaving coach Tony Rea the difficult task of assembling a side for their opening match of next season at Widnes on 16 February.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
