Typical, as soon as I move away from north Lancashire then the main commercial radio station in that area starts being involved with Wigan! I'm glad Key 103 didn't get involved though, their record isn't very good at all: they supported the now-defunct Manchester basketball team, the nearly-defunct Manchester Storm ice hockey team, the newly-relegated Salford City Reds...
But does Rock FM's decision that Wigan is in their area mean that BBC Radio Lancashire might also going to decide that Wigan really is in Lancashire after all, or does the county still end at Chorley for the BBC?
