My only concern is the lack of cover in the centre positions should we get a medium/long term injury to Sarginson or Gelling. I realise that Gildart is a brilliant prospect but I wouldn't like to have to rely on him too much. Bateman I suppose could fill in there but that wouldn't be ideal either.

Thornley? Tomkins?

I presume Thornley is first replacement, we then have Gildart et al. Probably enough IMO. Another alternative could be Charnley at centre, Manfredi wing.

Storm who do you see as the main rivals to the Storm?

Rabbitohs, Rooster, Bulldogs?

I think there's real pace about this squad also with plenty strength in depth.
Hampshire playing more regularly will give the backs even greater pace as if they didn't have enough already.
Williams, although relatively less experienced, will bring more pace to our half backs.
We must also have two of the fastest props in SL in Clubb and Patrick.
This is a massively talented squad from 1-25 and we do have an exciting prospect of a season in front of us. Can't wait!

CP the only rival I am worried about in 2015 is the incompetent refs. ashly klown cost Storm at least 3 games last season against Newcastle nits, gold coast titans and I will think of the other one.
After the nits game klown got dropped for a few games. It was blatent cheating on his part.
I am not worried about any team in the nrl...
mangey mutts were the only team to beat us consistently last season
we beat the Christmas elves( red and green rabble) when we played them in the season.

Storm may have lost three games to incompetent refs but Wigan lost a Grand Final due to them.
Anyone who saw the TV images of the Hohaia/Flower incident knew that both men should have been sent off.
With three on field officials and two VR's they didn't come anywhere near getting it right.
They took incompetence to a new level.
Hohaia raced 25 mtrs to slam his forearm/elbow into Flowers jaw, tv images which the VR's saw the incident in full but the Saints man was not sent off.

We do have a very exciting season in front of us and we all hope that the officials don't spoil it as they have done in the past.

if you want to see imcompetence in the highest order watch the 2006 Gf between Storm and donkeys...
If my team lose because we weren`t playing to our ability I can live with that BUT as any supporter will tell you if the refs take it off you that is so frustrating.
