Child was not afraid to use his cards during preseason so that's something to watch out for for both teams. With the new rules emphasis on taking more on field action I think we would be wise to behave ourselves and not give the officials any excuse.
Absolutely, refs will always be controversial, biased however you want to put it, but the less chances you give them to be like that the less impact they can have on the result.

The only problem with that is when refs feel they are not 'getting in the picture' so start inventing ways of being 'in charge.' I think we've seen quite a lot of Ganson-like antics in the last couple of seasons.
