If they are that keen on London why not schedule Magic Weekend at one of the football stadiums in the city?

The club have been looking into the feasibility of this over the last few months.

Since there is no longer a Super League presence in the capital, we are looking to raise our profile there. The idea is to hopefully set up training camps in the area and hopefully snap up the next Clubbs, Sarginsons, etc before anyone else.
With an increased profile they are hoping for the knock on effect of attracting sponsorship. The CWM FX deal we secured earlier this year was an unexpected bonus which wiped out all last seasons losses in one swoop.

For that to happen this would have to be a permanent or very regular fixture and if that were to be so then it really is just not on in my view.

We are not a London "franchise" and should not behave as if we are.

Particularly if it means fans missing what would be a home game.

With all the talent available locally and from links to South Wales the idea we need to do this because there might be another Clubb or Sarginson down there is a very weak excuse. In fact I think it is a ridiculous justification to do it.

The next Clubb could be in Coventry or wherever. Are we going to move games there on the off chance we might pick up a decent player from another area that currently doesn't have a SL team?

On the one hand we aren't interested in players from the NRL, now we are looking to move a game to London in case we can find players there? That is a complete contradiction.

As Wigan are the biggest name in our game, I am beginning to suspect that it is more a case of the RL wanting the club there, especially when they have decided to stage a International at the Olympic Stadium.

However, is IFL going to lay on free transport to the game? Surely season ticket holders should be entitled to that given they paid to watch Wigan play in Wigan?

same question, how would this work, ive got a season ticket but i doubt i can afford a trip down to London

The season tickets were priced on a 14 home game basis and it was CLEARLY stated as such when the prices were announced, also saying that the 15th game, if we qualified MAY be played on a neutral ground.
If it happens than I think that Catalan would be the ideal choice.
Wigan should have been all over London like a rash when Broncos were relegated. There is as much talent down there as we have in Wigan, it just needs identifying and developing. Wigan fans need to realise that we need to extend the Wigan brand and sponsorship, as gate receipts and Sky money alone do not pay the bills. Failure to do this would see us among the also rans.

Stop talking sense. I would also add that it is equally important to the game as a whole in particular the international set-up.

The interview I read stated the club would carefully select any such game and that it would not be detrimental to our prospects on the pitch. Off the pitch it is a huge WIN WIN WIN for Wigan and for RL.
