.

Is he "Wigan standard" though?

Oh for the halcyon days of Gene Miles and Steve Renouf!! :inlo:
I guess many thought George Carmont wouldn't be, but bring him back as a 27 year old tomorrow for me.

Charnley is going to be needed on the wing i would think as budgie is leaving.

Sarge has yet again gone from amazing to average very quickly like a lot of our players seem to. Last year especially after the 4 nations he was seen by most as special and we needed to extend his contract ASAP, now we need a new centre.

The three centres we have of Gelling, Sarginson and Thornley when all fit make an excellent trio. WHen they're all fit we whould hopefully see improvements as they will know they have someone who Wane trusts to come straight in.

I look at other teams centres and i'm not too envious. Leeds have obviously got the best pair but after that who comes in? Ablett?

Saints? Percival I like, but i wouldn't give you a carrot for Turner.

Wire and Hudds?? wouldn't swap with them.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure

Ryan Hampshire ?

I used to think that Sam would have made a good centre, good hands and fast off the mark, both things Hampshire has got.

I would love a true centre though, not a convert from second row.

Tomkins is not a convert, just standing in the position because of injuries to Gelling/Thornley and no other experienced Centre available.

Prior to Brian Smith coming I think Collis could have been pulled away from Cats, but I think Smith will want some structure at the club that would involve strong players like Collis staying put.
Like you I rate Dean Collis.
