It probably has in the sense it would not surprise me if Pat fancies a go at living in France.
He took the opportunity his sporting skills afforded him to come to the UK and sample life outside Oz when he was at the height of his NRL career having just played a significant part in his clubs GF win. So could have quite easily have stayed at home but chose not to.
Always respected Pat for this. As we have just seen with Sam T it's not always so simple to up sticks and move to a new country. Pat did it with his eyes wide open as a part of a plan to see more of the world.
As a player I think the boat has far from sailed. He might be 33 be he is still a top player playing 1st grade NRL.
His goal kicking is fantastic and his immense dropouts are tactically superb pinning the opposition right back in their own half.
Before this rumour broke and when at the Salford game I was reminded of his dropouts and not in a good way. There was one from Smith that brought groans from the crowd it was so downright pathetic and I expect every person who was groaning was lamenting the lack of anyone who can do a decent drop out and thinking of Pat's.
I'd have him back without hesitation. He has no fitness issues I am aware of compared to Bowen for example and his dodgy knees.
