Didn't he sign a five year contract? I'm sure he should still have two years left or at the very least one :conf:
I am not sure. If Wigan don't want him back I can't see the club asking for a fee anyway. Be a bit hypocritical given as soon as someone wants to go the NRL they won't stand in their way but they then ask for a fee for a player surplus to requirements.
The biggest mistake they made with Jack was after his very good first season in the second row, he was moved to the centre position after George Carmont left.

He told me he couldn't play centre & he didn't particularly want to play there but he was in the team which is what he wanted.
I agree. We have Rocky playing full back no doubt for the same sort of reason.
After that season where he didn't impress, people called him lazy IIRC, he lost his place in the second row. When he did play, he didn't seem to play as well. Maybe because he wasn't playing regularly enough to get back his previous good form.
Ironically he got a game or two at centre before he went on loan and looked more capable than two I could mention!
I know I wasn't best pleased with the swap deal for Larne Patrick. I don't think he has accomplished what was expected of him IMO

He hasn't impressed me :(
He's just another player employed for what he was good at who is being asked to do something he isn't good at.

Lauaki, Pettyborne, Tauati, Patrick, Hampshire, Joel and Hughes all played out of position or asked to play a different game compared to why we signed them (for those we signed).

Thanks DaveO for the reply to my post, excellent response ????????????
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I've always rated Jack pretty highly to be fair. His speed is his greatest asset he is prone to the odd mistake but then again youngsters need to make mistakes to learn. But ive seen a few games of him for Huddersfield and he's definitely kicked on from last year. If he go's id see this as Warrington's gain he chases wingers back and catches them and when he does break the line he can be deadly providing he develops his pass I could see him becoming a top player especially under smith, if you look at Ben Currie this year compared to last year, if he doesn't win young player of the year then some-things wrong.

Agree with this. Definitely think Huddersfield got a better deal than we did!

Depends on his pay.
Eg. If Joel is on twice his pay, then release Joel and sign up jack.
Room for another top player then.
Going off this year jack has played much better IMO

Just watched the Cats game and had he very nearly ran down Morgan Escare from behind which is no mean feat. Had the try line been five yards further away he would have overhauled him

ddtdff (?) has eluded to that.
Do you not think its strange that both players involved in the loan swap play/played better at Huddersfield?
No we shouldn't sell him, I believe that he has got a lot of improvement in him. We should have shipped him off to Australia for 12 months and his game would have come on leaps and bounds. I still can't understand why we haven't formed a partnership with an Australian club to allow our younger guys to develop. With all due respect it is much better to play in the Holden Cup rather than turn out for Workington.

Who could blame Hughes for wanting to leave. You have Lockers or Bateman at LF and then Farrell/ Joel or Bateman,at LF and none seem under any threat to their positions almost cast iron certainties good or bad under Wane.
