We will never win a series against Australia, because we no longer produce enough home produced quality players of International standard and no longer have top class players coming from Union, especially Wales, like we had in the great days of the past to create the right blend of class.
And why dilute Great Britain into England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland when less quality is now in the game compared with the days prior to 1996 when Union went professional?
Perhaps, play the four nations in the World Cup, but never in Test Matches against Australia and New Zealand.

know i cant comment on yesteryear but to say we are miles of the Aussies/NZ is a bit harsh to the England players, we were one wrong decision of beating the Aussies (curtsey of biased video reffing) and seconds from beating NZ - if sinfield hadn't run out of the line to quickly.
on the original subject, if Sam doesn't play fullback something is wrong with Wanes head it is after all were he has made him name and perfected his trade (even if not his Orginal/youth position) however with the fact hes been out twice this season with injury, i can see hampshire getting some game time if still around next year.

Totally agree. With the season Hardaker has had we'd want him and Sam on the pitch for England. Hardcore at 1, Sam at 6 and Widdop at 7 for me.
