Could WNAC be Millwards Promotor/Business Manager? He started dissing Denis at about the same time that Millward began racking up the incidents that eventually led to his downfall.
Just a though

I e-mailed the club, mainly about that report, with much the same points i've been putting forward on here.
This is the reply I got:
"Hi Geoff
We are fully aware of the article, the context of which was written without input from the club . We have spoken to the journalist who we feel has been very unfair on Denis who everyone at the club is fully behind.
Graham Emmerson - Wigan Warriors Media Manager"
I'd have preferred them to use "whom" instead of "who", but I wouldn't want to seem pedantic...

Really Betts is not head coach he is still assistant till Gregorys contract runs out. As Mrs carney said that at the end of the season betts will more than likely leave.

! thing worries me if Betts is given 2 more games then why is he still head coach. Either get someone in or leave him be. This happens time and again at Wigan we get rid of coaches after players know they are going and team looses games they should win.
MO should either back him or fire him and stop sitting on the fence. This is doing no one any good.
Although, of course, this is newspaper speculation as much as anything that might have any factual source. Who knows, maybe the WEP writers all visit here and have been reading our tales of doom, gloom and the end of the world to use as the basis for their "news".
Even worse the reporter could be WNAC

or WNAC has got a new job as writer for them or is IMO (WNAC speak) the source
See you beat to that one then. Or hows this for a theory. WNAC is infact Milward. Now think about it he knows the Saints wants rid of him a while back. Then gets on here as WNAC and when he knows we atart to struggle he sticks the knife into Betts. Fully well knowing that if Betts gets fired he gets the job after he gets fired at Saints.
I need to stop watching the x files all these conspiracy theories are freaking me out.

Betts has been given a poisoned chalice this season, had the team captain sold from underneath him, players were bought who already had a history of a serious injury and went back home, an injury situation that many clubs, or coaches could not cope with, and having to play young lads week in week out, playing them out of position, because he has no option. Then to top it all it seems alot of the fans turn on him and want to bring in the ignorant St. Helens cast off to take his place.
I would like to see any of the other SL coaches, the majority of them who have been in coaching for a long time, and did not have to take over the coaches role in the way that Betts did, do as well. He hasn't done bad with what he has had to work with, and that is no slight on any of the young players, who have had to be thrown in the deep end.
If it is the case that it is decided the Betts has to step down I hope he does stop with the club, but I don't think he will if that happens.

Good post. Spoiled it at the end though.
Betts has earned a king's ransom from Wigan - the club owe him nothing.
He's been involved at Wigan all his career and knows the pitfalls of the coaching job. Ultimately the coach takes the can for poor performances, because the one position is easier to fill than changing the playing staff.
Why on earth would you, or more appropriatly the new incumbent, want a (possibly?)forlorn, sacked, resentful, spiteful, revenge seeking former player, assistant coach, head coach moping round the place undermining your position, authority and decisions?
WNAC is right on one point and that is that a new broom will sweep clean within the coaching staff.
