We'll be frustrated with Thaler from the stands during the game, then realised he reffed it reasonably and sensibly if we watch the game back. Been the way with him all year that fans (and even some players) shout for more penalties than he's wanting to give and in the end, by the final quarter, you get a flowing game with little nastiness no the field too.
Top ref. Hopefully he produces more like him in his role developing new referees, without getting any arrogance from now being the best, as it feels like others have done previously.

Think if Thaler turns a blind eye to the holding down in the tackle and slowing the game down enough Wigan will win.
