No straw damn us wrote:That was a BIG and costly handling error at the start of the second half which gave Widnes a lot of self belief. He also missed six tackles, twice the number of any other Wigan player, but as others have said some of those were probably down to fatigue as he was played like three men last night in attack. I didn't understand not giving Gregson at least 10 minutes before and after halftime which could have given Lockers a bit of a breather.
Goes to show our squad is not as good as people think.
It is common of Wane to give a debut/youngster only 10-15 minutes at the end when the game is wrapped up.
The fact that we had a player on the bench and he was unused is a complete failing of the coach in my opinion.

Nothing wrong with the squad in general, just lacking better quality players in the key positions of Stand Off and Hooker/Dummy Half to make better and more creative play, especially when we reach the 20 meter line. Williams playing in his proper position of Scrum Half.
Plus a big rough Prop Forward from down under like Warrington have in Simms
Why in regard to the position of Prop Forward, did we never sign Hill, a Wigan lad who was outstanding for Leigh and more so at Warrington, where he also has gained InternationaL selection.
Plus of course, a top class and more consistent goal kicker!

Irrespective of such injury. At this stage only one player should win MOS

Perhaps you have answered your own ? there when you consider we were behind on the scoreboard and the game was anything but wrapped up.

An improvement on your previous propensity to start off new board subjects but perhaps a little premature to start pushing SOL as man of steel after only six of thirty two rounds?

Really contradicted yourself there.

You said there is nothing wrong with the squad in general but then said we lack quality at 6 and 9, need a big prop and a goal kicker. That is quite a lot wrong with the squad...
