Think it's a good point cp - think many fans are actually starting to dislike rugby league, I certainly will hold my hands up and say I don't look forward to games like I used to
A lot of it has to do with (and I don't know if this is just idolising memories) but in the past teams would have injuries but 90% of the team was playing so you knew the players and it was strong squad vs strong squad
Lately it seems every team has 6-10 first team players out and it's a glut of unknown players in every game
I actually agree with this as
I don't get the 'buzz' I used to get from RL at the moment, however that isn't a reason why certain posters only post after defeats and actually usually during the game only to disappear when we win or are winning!!

I find it very strange! ????????????
Think the loss v Wakey was far higher than anyone anticipated and as someone has mentioned, the club could have issued the statement that Radders made post game, prior to the game. Mind you, if they'd have done this, then they would've been criticised for letting the other side know how badly off we were. Suppose the club was onto a hiding whatever it did.
Anyhow, that Gregson ain't a bad un is he?

Through rain or shine. Through good or bad. I will always stand by my team. When we lose I'm disappointed, but look forward to the next game. When we lose like we did last week at Wakefield, I feel like punching walls, but hey, lets get behind the players who put their bodies on the line week after week, whether fully fit or not.

I'm not a frequent poster at the best of times, but its a fair comment and one that's reflective of most forums, in any sport.
People love to whinge and moan and abuse sometimes, its mostly online though as you can be as 'brave' as you want behind a screen.
I'll be honest, I was very close to not going last night, not really sure why. Yes I was at wakey last week and yes I was upset like the rest of us, but I don't think that was the reason for me contemplating not going to the game. I'm a season ticket holder and have been every season for the last decade and frequently went for the decade before that. I've seen us dish up some shocking displays and its not stopped me from turning up and supporting every week but I now feel that the lack of 'stars'not only in our team but the league is the major problem. Our structure doesn't help either, it just doesn't excite, especially when we've got average players in those key pivots.

I wish I had seen last night's game live. I was flying back from the US, and was on the plane at around 940 UK time. I knew I only had time to check a couple of times, and that I might stew on another negative result for the next 9 hours. Instead, I slept far better and happier than I can remember on those flights.
I think it was a great demonstration of the character within the club, and draws out a point that forcibly struck me last week. There is upset and annoyance (which I share) that we persist with such a limited coach, but surely in the light of Rads' information the only thing we could do as supporters is offer as much support to the team as it was doing it tough. The level of bile and anger directed even at Rads, essentially 1) blaming the club for the bug, 2) not believing Rads and/or 3) giving up on the team (or inferring that the team had given up) saddened me. There is a time and place for criticism, but when players are getting off their sick beds to play, then the only human reaction should be sympathy and support.
As it happens, the team showed the sort of character we have seen innumerable times over the years. Of course it won't register against the sort of people who think Rads is a natural born liar, but it felt great to be reminded what a special club we have...

Me too Outback. I've stood in the pouring rain at Cas when all other supporters, except my friends, who stood with me too, went under the sheds with the Cas fans!
Was at Bradford in the fog, at the Willows in the snow lol
I will always follow my lads as long as my health allows me too
Yes, there has been times when I've not looked forward to going but I've still gone

There is always scope for criticism because let's be honest nothing is perfect! I think we do get things massively wrong at times whether it be SW, players, fans, owners etc.
However I am a big believer in constructive criticism that is warranted at the right time, that can be evidenced without agenda or even worse personal agenda! I enjoy reading posters post about things that are wrong within the club because quite often they are bang on and it opens my eyes and allows me to learn all the time about WWRL and SL in general!
What I can't abide is criticism that just isn't called for, that can get personal, has an agenda and has no evidence to back it up! Now I appreciate its a forum largely based on opinion and I get that not everything can be evidenced but some criticism at times seems to be plucked from thin air or worse from sources I wouldn't trust or even when the evidence clearly states the opposite to that criticism!!
For me IL needs to put his hand in his pocket, SW is on borrowed time and some of the players need to stand up and be counted, will that stop me loving and supporting this club, no way!! Will it stop me being constructive with criticism again no way!! It's sport, it's a forum, praise and criticise but let's keep it respectable and sensible!!

And the interesting thing is that there is probably a lot of common ground in discussions on the areas we can improve as a club, but questioning the staff and coaches' integrity and honesty is low. These people work very hard, and the players put their bodies on the line for this club every time they pull on their boots.
As for those who have gone off the game itself, that's a shame as it is still the greatest game of all for me. I have an 8 year old who is beginning to catch the bug and it is a wonderful thing to experience vicariously how lucky we are to follow Wigan rugby. To sit with him transfixed at the HKR game brought a tear to the eye.

The sport in this country dos not capture the imagination as it once did. Star quality is in short supply and the standard has been dumbed down to the point the odd talent is increasing a rarity and worse 99% of RFL owners / key people are ecstatic. Remember, these are the same people who happily gave the game away for free and accept any sponsorship deal.
I am a RL nut but my passion tells me I may as well watch the NRL.
